Welcome to the #GRWA Crew, Shykeem!

Hey there! My name is Shykeem (SHA-KEEM) I’m excited to be joining Gary R. Weber Associates! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina A&T State University, where I also worked at a garden center and nursery to grow my passion and knowledge of plants. During school, I interned with Norris Design and Design Workshop and participated in the Dr. Charles Fountain Internship alongside landscape architecture students from across the country. Professionally, I spent the past 4.5 years with Norris Design, gaining valuable experience in the field.

I’m especially excited to learn more about ecological planning and landscape design and better understand how all aspects of a project come together. I’m also looking forward to meeting and working alongside such a passionate team while continuing to learn, grow, and contribute at GRWA!

Outside of work, my go-to coffee order is a pistachio or hazelnut matcha latte, or an oat milk chai latte if I’m looking for something different. If I had to pick a theme song, it would be “Prom” by SZA—it was a tough choice, but I’m going with it!
