DuPage River Cleanup
We rolled up their sleeves for the Semi-Annual DuPage River Cleanup! GRWA showed up with a crew of 14 people wading, paddling, and pulling out trash from our adopted section of the West Branch DuPage River. We found tires, house siding, soccer balls, lots of plastic bottles and cups, and a chair. At the end of our hard work we had five trash bags full of garbage from the shallow waters. After we accomplished our journey we all sat together for a well earned taco party at the West DuPage Woods Forest Preserve.
We’re proud to support efforts that protect our natural spaces, keep our waterways clean, and preserve the beauty of our local environment for generations to come. Thanks to The Conservation Foundation for organizing this self-coordinated event throughout DuPage and Will Counties for over 30 years! More information about the river cleanup can be found here.
