Herrick Woods

If you ever wondered what GRWA does, our Herrick Woods project is a great example. GRWA started working on Herrick Woods almost 10 years ago today. This project started with a wetland delineation and tree assessment of approximately 17 acres. Our next step was a concept plan for layout of the site and amenities. This was hand drawn before being rendered digitally. This concept plan will go through many hands and receive multiple markups before it becomes a Final Landscape Plan. Once it is approved by the municipality, GRWA helps with construction administration of the entire site. These beautiful native areas capture and treat stormwater during a rain event, also providing habitat and function to clean, and hold onto stormwater. Finally, we continually monitor the vegetation of the plants incorporated in the landscape plan to ensure they are healthy and beautiful.
