GRWA Celebrates 40 Years

August 27, 2022 marked the 40th year that GRWA has been making a positive impact on land use decisions.  We walked the Chicago Riverwalk and boarded the boat dubbed “Island Time” to reflect on and celebrate the occasion.

A botanist friend once said that, “If you’re not growing your dying.” Just like a tree, GRWA has been steadily growing now for over 40 years.  If you could analyze our tree rings you would see the years of solid growth, as well as the lighting strikes, fires, and flood stages.  There’s always a story to tell and everyone on the boat is a part of the GRWA story.  Each of us have grown personally and professionally as the company has rode the tide, avoided rocks, and sought the eye of the storm.

On this occasion, the weather was perfect and it definitely felt like we were in the eye, on Island Time, and all in the same boat (literally).  It was a great time to chill out, appreciate each other, and just feel the good vibes as we, as a team, continue to make a positive impact on land use decisions throughout the Great Lakes Region.
